How a hand starts
- Each player receives 5 cards.
- The next card is turned face-up and its suit is proposed as trump.
- Starting after the dealer, players choose to play that trump or pass.
- If everyone passes, each player may choose another trump suit in turn.
- If the face-up card is a Jack, the next player must play and that Jack suit becomes trump.
- After trump is chosen, every player receives 3 more cards and play begins.
Formats
2, 3, and 4 players
Three players use the 24-card deck. Non-playing players' rounded bile are counted first, then the player who chose trump receives the remaining bile from the hand total.
Four players use all 32 cards and play in teams. Team A and Team B collect points together.

If a player takes no trick, they receive -10 bile. A player with 3 BT marks receives -10 bile. Tables continue until a player or team passes 51 or 101 bile; if multiple players pass the limit together, the target increases by 50.
